Spring snow goose hunt at risk

Hunters might lose their chance to hunt snow geese in and near Delta in the spring. During past hunts, landowners in the Delta area have had some difficult encounters with spring snow goose hunters.

Antler gathering course now online

Gathering antlers that drop off the heads of deer, elk and moose is an activity that's grown in popularity across the country, including here in Utah. If you want to gather shed antlers in Utah between Feb. 1 and April 15, though, you must complete the DWR's free Antler Gathering Ethics course.

Web page helps deer hunters (update)

Feb. 1 is the first day applications will be accepted to hunt big game in 2012. With Utah's switch from five deer-hunting regions to 30 smaller units, thousands of deer hunters are scrambling for information that will help them decide which unit to apply for. Burbot bash should help Flaming Gorge
