Wildlife Board revises elk plan

On June 6, members of the Utah Wildlife Board approved revisions to Utah's deer and elk management plans, including approval for wildlife biologists to manage Utah for a few more elk in the coming years.

You can learn more about the cutthroat trout in Strawberry Reservoir—and get a great look at the fish—by attending a free wildlife-viewing event on June 9. The Division of Wildlife Resources will hold its annual cutthroat trout viewing event from 9 a.m. to noon at the U.S. Forest Service visitor center.

Open houses for anglers

Utah Division of Wildlife Resources Northern Region fisheries managers will conduct two open houses in Logan on May 31 and in Roy on June 12 to get input and ideas from anglers for the 2013 fishing season.
