The swan hunt begins for permit holders on Oct. 6, 2012 and ends on Dec. 9, 2012, unless the Division's monitoring program indicates that 10 trumpeter swans have been taken. If 10 or more trumpeter swans are taken, the season will be closed earlier than Dec. 9. See the
