Meet the Bats Night - Central Region

Thursday, July 26, 2012, 08:00
The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (DWR) and Hogle Zoo will hold a bat lecture on Thursday, July 26 at 8:00 p.m. at Hogle Zoo's EdZoocation Station (located just west of the main entrance). DWR Sensitive Species Biologist Kim Hersey will give a PowerPoint presentation about Utah's bats and Hogle Zoo will have some visual aids on hand as well. Hersey will then set up a mist net at a nearby location in an attempt to capture, show and then release a bat. Participants can also get a close up look at live fruit bats and flying foxes found at the zoo. The event is free of charge and pre-registration is not required.
