Wildlife Conservation and Ethics Course
We are pleased with your commitment to Utah wildlife conservation. In 2008, Dedicated Hunters and other volunteers contributed nearly two million dollars in service to Utah's wildlife and wildlife habitat. Your service will make a significant contribution.
If you joined the program before 2009 and did not attend a Regional Advisory Council (RAC) meeting before January 1, 2009, this course will fulfill the previous RAC attendance requirements. If you joined the program in 2009, you must complete this course and a minimum of 16 service hours before getting your first permit.
NOTE: While RAC attendance is no longer a program requirement, we still encourage you to attend and partipate. You will find meeting dates and times on our public meetings pages. Your input is valuable to the success of managing Utah's wildlife.
About the course
This course provides hunters with a basic understanding of core concepts related to the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation, general wildlife management principles, hunting ethics and the wildlife management public input process in Utah.
