Program overview
An overview of the Dedicated Hunter program — what is expected of participants and what the DWR provides in return.

Joining the Dedicated Hunter Program
The Dedicated Hunter Program reached its 10,000-participant cap on January 10, 2008. Registration is closed for the year. If you took the online conservation course and completed the online application, you have until 5 p.m. January 31 to pay for your COR. If you are unsure of your registration status, please call (801) 538-4711.

Wildlife conservation projects
DH logo Dedicated Hunters must work a minimum of 24 hours on approved wildlife conservation projects. The following pages contain information about and links to current projects.

RAC meetings
Prior to receiving a second Dedicated Hunter permit, participants must attend at least one Regional Advisory Council (RAC) meeting. Be sure to sign the RAC roll sheet to ensure that you receive credit for attending.

Dedicated Hunter rule
The Dedicated Hunter program is governed by the Dedicated Hunter Rule, R657-38. Participants entering or re-entering the program are subject to any changes subsequently made in the rule, so it is important to read the rule every year.
