Weber River
(Gateway Diversion to Stoddard Diversion)
Location:: 10 miles east of Ogden, Utah.
Game fish: Brown trout, cutthroat trout, rainbow trout, and mountain whitefish
Stream length: 10.0 miles
Elevation: Approximately 4,920 feet
Average Flow (minimum flow): The Weber River is a highly regulated river with many dams and diversions for water storage and irrigation. Water flows are frequently reduced flows. No minimum flow.
Maximum water temperature: Upper 60°s F.
Productivity: The Weber River is maintained by natural reproduction and has good productivity.
Type of fishing available: Bait, fly, and lures.
Angler pressure: The Weber River receives a large amount of angling pressure but is able to sustain that pressure and maintain a good fishery.
Accommodations: No camping is permitted along this stretch of the river. Accommodations can be found in Ogden..
Food: Ogden and Morgan Utah
Fish food: Aquatic insects and small fish
Land ownership: The majority of this section of river is on private land with some Division of Wildlife Resources land.
Access: The Division of Wildlife Resources has obtained some angler access to some of the private land in this section of the river. Watch for signs.
Unique attraction: There are excellent fishing opportunities. Brown trout and mountain whitefish fishing is good in this section.
Weber River
(I-80 bridge upstream to Echo Reservoir)
Location:: Between Coalville and Wanship, Utah
Game fish: Brown trout, cutthroat trout, rainbow trout, and mountain whitefish.

Elevation: Approximately 5,740 feet
Average Flow (minimum flow): The Weber River is a highly regulated river with many dams and diversions for water storage and irrigation. Water flows are frequently reduced. No minimum flows.
Maximum water temperature: Mid 60s F
Productivity: The Weber River is maintained by natural reproduction and has good productivity.
Type of fishing available: Artificial flies and lures.
Angler pressure: The Weber River receives a large amount of angling pressure but is able to sustain that pressure and maintain a good fishery.
Accommodations: Camping is not permitted along this stretch of the river.
Food: Coalville and Wanship, Utah.
Fish food: Aquatic insects and small fish.
Land ownership: 100% private.
Access: Fair, the Division of Wildlife Resources has obtained fishing access from various landowners, watch for signs.
