East Fork Sevier River
(Otter Creek Reservoir Diversion to Confluence with Deer Creek)
Location:: Located in Garfield County, the stream runs along the county road between Bryce Canyon National Park and the town of Antimony.
Game fish: Brown, cutthroat, and rainbow trout.
Stream length: 11.50 miles.
Elevation: 6,500
Average Flow (minimum flow): Typical base flows in summer are about 30 cfs and 20-foot stream width. High flows are about 200 cfs.
Maximum water temperature: <70° F
Productivity: Annually stocked with fingerling brown trout. Occasionally rainbow and cutthroat trout are stocked. Minimal natural reproduction occurs.
Type of fishing available: Special regulations apply to the reach downstream from the mouth of Deer Creek, where flies and lures must be used. Upstream from Deer Creek, general state-wide rules apply.
Angler pressure: Light
Accommodations: A small store and restaurant is located at Antimony. A campground is located at nearby Otter Creek Reservoir State Park.
Food: Available at Antimony.
Fish food: Fish, caddisflies, mayflies, stoneflies, and terrestrial insects.
Land ownership: A mix of BLM, Division of Wildlife Resources and private.
Access: Good access from paved SR 22. Parking and stream access is available at Wildlife Resources and BLM land.
Unique attraction: Scenic setting, extensive stream restoration work has been completed and is continuing.
